MEET OUR FEMALE DOCTORS
WOMEN'S HEALTH CHECKS
Every 2 years we recommend a women’s health check for all women ages 20 - 70.
This will include the following:
- Pap Smear
- Breast Check
- Blood Pressure
- Lifestyle Advice
We offer a wide range of contraception options which could be any of the following:
- Contraceptive pills
- Contraceptive rings
- Intrauterine devices
As much as we encourage young women to involve their Mums in decisions about teen health care we recognise this is not always a possibility. Alternatively we offer completely confidential appointments for teenage patients with our doctors.
For all women preparing to start a family we offer lifestyle advice and organise pre-natal blood tests.
Most women fall pregnant within a year of trying to conceive. We can offer advice for couples who are having difficulties and provide specialist referrals if necessary.
MUMS & BUBS
We offer shared antenatal care with most appointments offered at the practice for your convenience.
We like to meet our new babies in the first week when they come home from hospital. We provide all recommended baby checks and immunisations and a 6 week post natal check up for Mum. We hold a drop in baby clinic at 12.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday.
Being overweight is a risk for diabetes and heart disease. We offer advice, referrals and medication where appropriate for help with weight management.
We offer a health check to all of our patients in the 45-49 age bracket. For women this includes advice on healthy menopause and prevention of osteoporosis.
We have female doctors who have a special interest in managing chronic disease. Patients may be eligible for a GP Care Plan and Team Care Arrangement to provide access to Medicare rebates for allied health.
